6 Weeks to Easier Walking, Improved Balance and Equanimity

If you’re suffering from back or neck pain, your movement habits as well as the stress and anxiety held in your body may be contributing to your discomfort. And your body speaks its mind!

The Feldenkrais Method® aims to retrain your habits of moving, feeling and thinking by guiding you through a series of slow “lessons” called Awareness Through Movement®, designed to encourage greater flexibility and coordination. Ever thought how your back pain may originate in your hips and pelvis?

The classes and workshops will emphasize the importance of doing less and slowing down, and adding variation and curiosity to everything you do. You will also learn how to reduce anxiety and unnecessary stress – and feel much calmer and happier!

 

In this series of six potent weekly classes, I will teach gentle yet powerful lessons that allow you to get back to doing the things you love without pain or stiffness. You’ll learn to redistribute effort, so that the big bones (such as your spine and pelvis) and muscles (such as psoas and iliacus) do the crucial work of walking. We will focus on the importance of Balance and Orientation, and how all of this ties in with a Calmer Mind. I’ll give individual feedback and suggestions to help you progress easily. You will also get a recording of each class.

Time: 6 Wednesdays at 12:00pm EST, 9am (PST), 6:00pm Central European (Rome). Starting June 18th ending July 16th, 2025.

Where: On Zoom. Once you register, you will receive the Zoom link to join the classes. Recordings of each class will be sent out on the same day for your study and perusal.

Cost: You will pay only $75 for this powerful series instead of $150 for 6 drop-in classes.
